Security guard software for standing-post operations

Run every guard contract from quote to proof and profit.

Plain-language answer

What is security guard company software?

Security guard company software organizes the recurring work behind a guarding business: buildings, post schedules, guards, time, service evidence, invoices and job costs. Centrov connects those records so a schedule change or approved hour can be traced through the client record and the financial result.

The operating problem

Why disconnected tools make the work harder.

01

A post is a promise with a clock on it

An uncovered post puts the service commitment at risk. The office can review confirmations, open gaps and work underway. Unconfirmed shifts can open a coverage case according to the company’s configured escalation threshold; an offer remains unresolved until a guard accepts.

02

Every building has its own rules

Job instructions, access details, reporting requirements and assigned guards stay with the physical job instead of being scattered across messages and a supervisor’s memory.

03

Guard revenue is not contract profit

A signed monthly price says little about wages, employment costs, overtime and operating overhead. Keep quote assumptions connected to the operating record to compare the delivered cost with the signed plan.

How it works

One connected record through the operating loop.

  1. 01

    Price the contract

Model labour hours, wages, employment costs, supplies and overhead before the quote goes out. Retain the signed assumptions for later comparison.

  2. 02

    Build the recurring post plan

Prepare recurring schedules, required positions and guard assignments in draft. The office controls when the reviewed plan is published to the crew.

  3. 03

    Watch coverage

Review eligible guards against role fit, availability and working-hour context, then send a coverage offer. The gap stays open until coverage is accepted.

  4. 04

    Review the shift

Guards use the phone and PIN experience to record time, complete checklists and attach supporting photos. Location context depends on the enabled workflow and device permissions. Review the record before sharing appropriate service evidence.

  5. 05

    Invoice and compare

Trace approved work into invoicing and compare delivered costs with the commercial plan. Your accounting system remains the formal general ledger.

What stays connected

Useful outcomes without invented promises.

One durable record per building

Post schedules, contracts, guard requirements, time and service history stay connected through renewals and supervisor changes.

A shared operational picture

The office sees the work, guards see their assignments, and clients receive relevant service information without private workforce costs.

Contract-level financial context

Review what changed between quote and delivery with the job record available to explain the result.

Published CAD pricing

Priced by active field staff, including guards.

There is a $199 CAD monthly minimum. Subscription pricing uses graduated bands: each rate applies only to the workers within that band.

  • 1–50 active workers: $11.00 per worker in that band, per month.
  • 51–150 active workers: $7.50 per worker in that band, per month.

Office and admin seats are unlimited and included, with no per-site subscription fees. Every tier includes the full platform. The subscription is month-to-month; one-time setup fees vary by team size.

Illustrative 40-guard company

40 active guards on a published schedule: $440 CAD/month, plus $499 CAD one-time setup. Amounts are before tax.

A worker counts once when eligible activity is recorded during the billing period, including recorded time or submitted work, a published shift assignment, an incident report or a supporting photo. Unassigned standby workers with no qualifying activity do not count. Archived and inactive staff are excluded. Mixed cleaning and security teams count all qualifying active field staff.

Questions about security guard software for standing-post operations

Can Centrov handle standing posts with recurring shift patterns?

Yes. Set the recurring work and required positions for a building, then review guard assignments in draft. Publishing releases the reviewed plan to the crew; preparing a draft does not publish it.

How does Centrov handle a guard calling off at short notice?

The office sees the gap, reviews guards against availability, qualifications and working-hour limits, and sends an offer. The shift stays open until coverage is accepted; software cannot guarantee that a person will accept.

Can clients see proof that a post was covered?

Reviewed time, checklist records and selected supporting photos can help explain the delivered service. A timestamp alone does not prove that every task was completed. The office decides what is appropriate to share.

What does Centrov cost for a guard company?

There is a $199 CAD monthly minimum, with graduated pricing by active field staff. Office and admin seats are unlimited and included. There are no per-site subscription fees. One-time setup fees depend on team size; see the pricing page for the full schedule and active-worker definition.

Does Centrov replace accounting software?

No. Centrov connects operations, invoicing and job profitability. Your accounting system remains the formal general ledger, with exports used to connect the two.

Does Centrov also support patrol and incident workflows?

Centrov has separate patrol and supervision visit workflows and incident records. Completed patrol reports and selected photos require office review before a client snapshot is published. Private staff conversations stay outside that publication path.
